Who Am I?

Hi there! My name is Grace and I just wrapped up eight months as a new grad Product Manager (PM) at Salesforce. I entered Salesforce as a PM Intern in Summer ’20 and get a return offer shortly afterwards. This is my reflection of my time as a full time PM at Salesforce, as I am now moving onto a new company (to be announced on my LinkedIn).

Lesson #1: Team building, remote work & PTO flexibility, learning and development opportunities, and team culture matters.

Team Building: During my time at Salesforce, I mostly worked remotely. I had the option to go into the office but I worked from home because it was more comfortable, given the Covid waves. At first, I struggled with feeling a sense of community but I did lots of virtual coffee chats. I organized an in-person new grad happy hour and a new grad Halloween party. My broader team also organized two in-person dinners for team members in the Bay Area. My direct team did a virtual cooking class where we learned how to make truffle pasta from scratch and we played a fun game of Murder Mystery too.
