Who Am I?

Hi there! My name is Grace and I’m currently a new grad Product Manager (PM) at Salesforce, previously a Summer ’20 PM Intern here. I was a Fall ’20 Business Analyst Co-Op at Bluewolf IBM, a Fall ’19 PM Co-Op at GE Lighting, and a Marketing major at Northeastern University (c/o ‘21).

If you want to be a PM, great! So does everyone else.

According to TheProductManager.com, 698,945 individuals listed their profiles as a product manager on LinkedIn in August 2020 (the actual numbers are likely to be higher because some people may not have profiles on LinkedIn).

Quora reports that a LinkedIn search in 2014 using the words “How many Product Managers are in the United States” revealed that the number was at 146,333. This indicates a growth of over half a million in about six years. This may have you thinking that breaking into product management will be very easy! I hate to say it but…

It is harder to become an entry level PM at Google than to get into Harvard.
